The Kenai River is the home of the world record king salmon. This is a beautiful river in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula. The Kenai River is a world famous river for a variety of fish including king salmon, silver salmon, red salmon, pink salmon and rainbow trout. The Upper Kenai River is a fly fishing only area with fantastic trout fishing. The majority of the king salmon fishing takes place in the lower tidal regions. Silver salmon fishing and red salmon fishing take place in the entire river system depending on the time of the season.
